MAREMMA

This is a series of photographs related to the Maremma region that I took over two decades ago and which have been compiled into two photographic books of mine. The Maremma is an area of Tuscany to which I am deeply connected and which I love for its almost frontier-like atmosphere, with a strong rural character and a sense of freedom. The freedom of spaces that open up amidst the ruggedness of regions less affected by heavy tourist presence, always inviting sublime and vast escapes towards the south.
