LICHTUNG

These new photographs of mine were taken in the forests of my region, inspired by light in relation to Martin Heidegger’s concept of “Lichtung”. In philosophy, “Lichtung” refers to a clearing, a space of clarity within a dark forest, where light penetrates and reveals hidden truth. Through these images, I hoped to capture the essence of this concept, exploring how light interacts with the natural environment, creating spaces of revelation, contemplation, and introspection. I want the light in these images to become a metaphor for a revealed reality, an element that illuminates and proposes a process that is not only physical but also symbolic: the light becomes a means through which the deepest and most hidden truths are brought to awareness.
