When I think of the sea, I think of the infinite, and when I think of photographing the sea, I think only of the beaches of Fiumara and Alberese in Maremma. Perhaps recalling Giacomo Leopardi, to conceive the infinity of the sea, I need to imagine glimpsing it, catching it beyond a dune or behind some plants—personal metaphors for exploring the tension between the finite and the infinite. The presence of a sort of physical boundary would then lead to a deeper understanding and meditation on the vastness and the eternal idea of infinity that I dream of, symbolized by these seascapes bathed in supreme light.
